At the beginning of the activity, Ding Jiao welcomed all the guests and said that the English Conversation Salon allowed us to communicate with foreign scholars face to face. It is helpful to expand the knowledge and improve the oral English conversation ability. I hope everyone will speak freely and collide with international friends with a multicultural spark.
Ms. Cui Miaoai introduced Canadian medical humanities and customs. She helped us understand the daily lives of ordinary Canadians. The basic situation of her work unit was presented. She then expatiated on acquiring citizenship in Canada as a foreigner.
Study & Work In Canada
Bachelors, Masters, PhD programs available. Good news: International students in Canada can now work over 40 hours a week
Zhang Xinyue, a member of the English Interest Group, showed us the activities and competitions in English communication held by our hospital in recent years. She raised the confusion of medical workers in English learning, which aroused everyone’s resonance and discussion.
Wang Yue, Deputy Director of the Customer Service Center of the Outpatient Department, asked Richard what’s the source of his bravery as a foreigner in another country.
Richard then narrated a story that motivated participants who wanted to travel abroad to study or work.
Subsequently, the participants and international friends on English learning, discussed the Canadian work system, family education, and travel for exchange programs. The atmosphere was very active.
At the end of the event, the participants said that the English academic salon was full of harvest, thanks to the National Association and English Association for providing valuable communication and learning opportunities, and expressed that they would learn more and practice in the future, and constantly improve their oral English skills, to serve clinical work better. In recent years, Huai’an First International College and English Association have held a series of English lectures, English conversation salons, English competitions, and other activities to help staff improve their English conversation, which has been well received and welcomed by everyone.
